Re: beware of Amnestia

Buyer told me he wanted a refund after several pm exchanges YESTERDAY night. Upon getting the PM this morning I went to my paypal to refund him his money but found out he initiated a buyer dispute.

Now if anyone has ever been through a paypal buyer dispute you will know that paypal holds that money and pulls it from your account until the dispute is settled. I told the buyer this and he doesn't seem to believe me.

The money is literally held by paypal and not in my account, now I can refund through my bank account but there isn't enough funds there for the refund so what am I suppose to do?

I told the buyer he can escalate it to a claim (if I were a dishonest person WHY in the world would I tell someone to do this?) and that paypal would return him his money within 1-2 weeks. Now I told him if he drops the dispute then the money would be returned into the paypal account and then I would refund him.

Either way he gets his money back.

Summary
1. yes I missed the shipped date my fault
2. upon being asked for a refund I tried to refund but money isn't there
3. i told him the only 2 ways I know of that he can get his money back
4. buyer refuses to do either of it

Anyone interested in the PMs I will post. And through every pm you will see i'm trying to be helpful and admitted fault in not shipping.

Yep if you dispute.. paypal will hold the funds until it is settled.. sooo either you have to drop the complaint or wait it out to get the money back.. that's the whole point of PayPal... and why it is "safer"

Re: beware of Amnestia

If anyone has ever bought from me before knows that I might not have the best scheduling but I always try to make it up somehow. Whether it be free shipping, freebie frags or in some cases a refund. The 40+ reefsanctuary people on my old mailing list can confirm this.

Re: beware of Amnestia

I did mostly zoos/palys along with rarer types of montis and some acros. I don't have a formal website, just a lot of excess coral due to my prop systems. I'm branching to more montis/sps type coral and am planning to have a 600+gal outdoor natural sunlight prop system setup next spring to supply some local fishstores.

However I just started an accelerated nursing program for my BSN in nursing so my time is chewed up to the max (along with work) so I just do a few sales here and there for the higher end stuff. Education comes first, especially when it's costing me a figure in the 6 digit zone.

Re: beware of Amnestia

I bought a clam a while back from this seller and was impressed at the level of communication when the USPS handled the box roughly and I got it leaking. Amnestia didn't dodge questions, etc...
The comment about Paypal is correct, I'd drop the complaint and get my refund and let both parties move on.
I'd buy from Amnestia again!

Ahh now this I understand!! I am a nurse practitioner.. have fun in school!! I am glad I am finished.. I went through University of Phoenix, which is also an excellerated program and I am glad I did the excellerated program.. and you will be too... You must be going to a private school or a regular University to be costing you that much.. ouch... my entire education was under 6 digits, but well worth it

Re: beware of Amnestia

Yeah it's a private school 3 year program. I would be doing public but at the rate the schools are cutting classes it's almost impossible to get in. I have friends that have been waiting 2 years on waiting lists with no luck.

Thanks for the kind words karrol, glad that guys doing good for ya, he was a centerpiece in my tank!

Now that I'm thinking about it I owe al some stuff too o.O

Re: beware of Amnestia

Actually pm was replied to on Tuesday and you put on a buyer dispute Wed morning, told you the reason I missed the shipment was cause of power failure, ie no internet. Do people listen nowadays?

So you gave me a span of less than 12 hours to get you a refund and that's considering you did it in the AM when people usually sleep (doh?).

I offered you the only options available, and you denied both of them. So just wait 2 weeks. I would escalate it to a claim sooner rather than later if I were you, otherwise it will take even longer.

I'll find it ironic if you do end up bringing it to a claim though cause then that'd mean you're actually listening for once.

What's your purpose of saying you have all pms? By all means post them! Post them so people can see that I was trying to help you all along but for some reason you refuse to listen. Just make sure not to skip any pms = ) i'd like to hear what everyone thinks.

+1 on not the best on scheduling. I am still waiting for our trade to work out. Been 4 weeks. But hey, I'm sure it'll work out and good luck to both of you on resolving this issue.

Re: beware of Amnestia

BEWARE OF Amnestia
For # 1 I contact this person before payment was made and they replied ready when you are if they where ready it would have been shipped on time. And as I said before the only time I got a response for this person was after the dispute was open he received payment on Sat. did not even confirm he got payment and I send emails that went unanswered and now he has not even replied to the dispute on paypal no response on that at all .The title of this post is beware of Amnestia if you want to wait on delayed shipment then do it if you want to take that chance then go for it this was an attempt to warn others that what happen to me could happen to them. And I have no doubt in my mind that my money would be refunded and I made a purchase and due to the Sellers not being able to complete the order What I paid was not delivered. His own words
Summary
1. yes I missed the shipped date my fault
2. upon being asked for a refund I tried to refund but money isn't there
3. i told him the only 2 ways I know of that he can get his money back
4. buyer refuses to do either of it

THAT IS WHY IT WAS POSTED IN ( Vendor/Seller Feedback)

FYI
Note to all (That a claim cannot be file until the other party respond to the depute by him not responded to the dispute it will take longer for the refund did you know that bet He did )
