| Golden Moray | Petsmart tip Petsmart has really got my goat with the bait and switch thing they have going on between the net and the store. Countless times I've saw something advertised on their web page and gone in the store to have it as much as 60% more expensive in store. Well today I decided to ask , whats up with this. I bought a little giant quiet one 1200 pump and it was $27.99 on the webpage and $37.99 in store. Big difference! The girl at the counter said if I would have printed it out and brought it in the would adjust the price. Problem is its a 20 minute drive from my house. So I asked to talk to the manager. Low and behold he had no problem going to the web and fixing the price. So next time your headed into Petsmart do yourself a favor and research the price online .. if you can print it, all the better... if not make sure and ask. I'd say in the last year I've probably overpaid at least $100 bucks. Thats the equiv of two decent SPS frags for my tank.

| Smile Maker | Re: Petsmart tip I was under the impression that retail prices were always higher than on-line prices. |

| Golden Moray | Re: Petsmart tip not usually for big box stores. Circuit city, Best buy , Wal Mart all match up. Lots of times they have online "discounts" but the prices should be the same.

| Smile Maker | Re: Petsmart tip Then conceivably you would pay more for on-line purchases if there was a shipping charge. |

| Golden Moray | Re: Petsmart tip I only buy stuff at Petsmart when I need it today. Most of my stuff comes from stores I like to support(online and local(non big box)) and I never buy any live goods from box stores.

| Golden Moray | Re: Petsmart tip Most big box stores now have net direct to store for no shipping charge. A lot of stores now have online only items or items not carried in all stores, so you can get it shipped free.
