| Serpent Star | Jeff's exotic fish O.K., let's see if I can make this short: The other day, my wonderful wife told me I could have around $80 to spend on my tank! This was a major surprise for me, but she said she knew how much overtime I had been putting in to pay off bills and save for our first child (due in late August). I know they're not a sponsor, but I couldn't resist, Jeff's exotic fish had solar fairy wrasses for $21!!! I quickly ordered two and a 25 pack of margarita snails ($10). This is where customer service reaches an all time high. My fish were due in by Fed Ex by 10:30 AM. By 11:30 no fish I quickly called Jeff's and they in return called Fed Ex. To both our dismay, Fed Ex had left the package in TN and said it wouldn't be there for another day. Jeff told me he assumed nothing would survive and promptly gave me credit for my entire order! Fed Ex guy came today and both fish were belly up, but I managed to save all but one snail. Called Jeff and told him the info and he informed me it was not necessary to return the fish and replacements were on the way. The kicker is, he still gave me credit for the snails, eventhough they were alright. I know it's only $10 and they will get reimbursed from Fed Ex for the lost fish, but the gesture went way further than what I had expected. Absolutely no hassle from Jeff at all. A very trustful seller that I would highly recommend. As soon as they come in, I'll take some photos. The fish that arrived DOA were very vibrant even though they had taken the proverbial "sand nap" and both were a little over 3" in length. I'm stoked right now, like a kid on Christmas Eve! In fact, I think I'll go to bed after Kingdom Hospital, but I probably won't be able to sleep. Sorry this is so long winded, but I didn't want to cut any corners with the story. Great online vendor!

| Golden Moray | Congratulations on the soon to arrive reefer!!! That's good info to know about Jeff's exotic fish. I did want to point out that Vendor Experiences can be about any vendor. They don't have to be about a sponsor.

| Midas Blenny | Mick77, I want to jump in also because I had a similar experience. I ordered one solar fairy and one hammer coral. FedEx also messed up but not as bad as your experience. They left the package at the central receiving station. Luckily I work very close to that station and was able to track the box down and get it. It was late in the day....but I got it. The solar fairy made it okay but the hammer coral didn't. I called Jeff's yesterday and they gave me credit. This is the 3rd time I buy from this comapny. I think their customer service is excellent. Their specials are awesome too! Solar fairy wrasses for $21???? I see them almost everywhere else at no less than $50. I wish you guys could have see the size of the hammer coral. It was huge and it was only $19. Too bad it didn't make it. But I will get another and keep coming back for more. |

| Reefus Geekus ![]() | I am lucky enough to live in SoCal and have been to Jeff's on several occasions. Their selection of fish & corals is excellent because of the sheer amount of water they have. They are located in an industrial warehouse and have probably 8 or 10 40 foot rows of corals and then another 4 or 6 rows of fish. And they always seem to have great package deals on tank systems. Not to mention the fact that they have one of the most beautiful display tanks I have seen in a store. They have a huge (18"+) clam and a bunch of premium corals in a 10' tank. Even in the very competitive market of socal they beat most other brick and mortar stores in the area.

| Plate Coral | Re: Jeff's exotic fish I have always heard only good things about Jeff's. I ordered from them around the beggining of the year. The merchandise I received was adequate, but I was overcharged. I contacted them and was assured that it would be taken care of. I still have received no credit or refund. I ordered off one of their buy two get one free deals and when I received the final bill, I was charged for the free coral. I will not be doing business with them again. I do love the cherub angel I got from them though.

| Scopas Tang ![]() | Re: Jeff's exotic fish I live in Orange County, California. Luckily, Jeff's has a store in Orange, California. I bought my 24 gallon Aquapod (150w MH) from them. They gave me a 10% discount on top of the lowest price that I could find (local or internet). They offer a large selection of corals at very reasonable prices. Since I am new to this hobby, they were extremely patient and answered all of my questions. Highly recommended!!!! Reza |
