| Elegance coral | Reef Scavangers So i ordered a BTA from reef scavangers on friday with the arrive alive guaranteed next day shipping but because of the freak snowstorm i didn't receive the package untill monday and the anenome was dead ...but i was tryn' to be optimistic and i still tried to float and drip acclimate it and it still didn't make it so i wrote them a email explaining everything and they said they would ship one right out to me free of charge so it was shiped out yesterday and it arrived today and it looked real good i have to say im really impressed with their customer service they were very sympathetic towards the loss and didn't even question me about the nem being dead and just instantly said they will send it right out to me and had it sent to my work so there was no chance that i wouldn't receive it....by far this is the best experience i have had from ordering things online and i definitally would reccomend them to everyone

| Tunicate | Re: Reef Scavangers My first experience with ordering critters online with Reef Scavengers has been less than positive. I placed my order on 4/17 and paid $43 for express overnight service. They shipped on 4/17. I took 4/18 off from work to be home for delivery, nothing shows up. Package was sent overnight, but USPS dropped the ball. 4/18, I stepped out and left authorization signature for USPS. They would not accept this, and returned the package to the post office where it sat thru the balance of the weekend. I get the package Monday a.m., and basically everything (starfish, anemone, crabs) was dead. The coral banded shrimp and some snails made it. So I contact them again, and customer service was great in coordinating a replacement shipment; they finally shipped my package on 4/29, and the USPS does not deliver it to me, but to my leasing office (?) on 4/30. I check my mail today, and there is a delivery notice in my mailbox! So....18 days later, my order has been completed. Not sure what happened to the $43 I spent on overnight service, but the USPS is a poor choice of shipper by the Reef Scavenger folks. Customers have NO options but to use USPS if ordering thru RS. And I will tell you to forget trying to dial them up to discuss the order status. Not an option, by design. There is no phone listing for them anywhere. Reef Scavengers is not a bad supplier, and prices are certainly attractive. But they really need to make FedEx / UPS an option. Why not, we the customers are paying for it so not sure why they will not consider this. I would like to hear others experiences with RS, good or bad. Jury is still out with me, and boy is that jury tainted !!! See ya, DannerATL |

| Limpet | Re: Reef Scavangers I've ordered some pods, snails, and those blue palys from them. Everything was alive and well, but I wish they didn't use USPS! Each package was like the last one delivered. You'd think they'd see LIVE written on the side of the box and decide "hum...maybe I should drop this off first and not at 6:05pm." I don't know if they think snails don't ship well or what, but instead of getting 15 snails they sent 30! But I was a little disappointed with the blue palys. They are really pretty, but they are more gray than blue. Maybe they will color up soon. |

| Tunicate | Re: Reef Scavangers And BTW....there was no follow up email asking about the service from Reef Scavengers. Several emails have gone unanswered actually, whereas the website guarantees a same day response, sometimes even within the hour. Um.....Not so. Will give these guys a miss in the future. To many other competitors without the grief. Sho 'Nuff
