The inline DI is just as efficent as the cartridges... They both have the same amount of Resin and are both force thru the same. I use both on two different systems and the both operate at the same efficency. The only reson for the in line, is that it adds and extra carbon filter stage to the unit.

First, you incorrectly stated that the vertical cylinder is more efficent efficent then the horizontal cylinder...... Second you bring up resin quality... hmm not familar with a ppm value on resin... it is an exchange resin that is rated by conductivity readings. Our resin is a semi-conductor quality resin which has a 18 megohm-cm resistivity. It Produces sub-ppm levels of silica, phosphates, nitrates and other ionic impurities

That is the info on the resin.... not sure what it has to do with vertical or horizontal cylinders?????

BTW, not really sure why the product quality is being questioned, it is a top notch product, that is at least as good as any other on the market. I have personally sold over 3,000 of these units and have never had a single complaint. If only all my product were that easy. My goal here is to provide a high quality product at a low price.

No testing needs to be done..... the vertical unit contains much more water, as the housing contains a filter cartridge, which holds the resin. At least 1/2 of the capacity of the filter housing is water only. The filter cartridge holds the same amount of resin that the horizontal holds........

Joe is pretty much on the money here, I have one of his DI units and I have a vertical housing unit that I run a Kent HI-S DI cart in. When I got the unit from Joe I was concerned that it might not hold as much resin as the Kent cart. and as I had just used up a Kent cart. I compared the two. The kent had just slightly more resin, but the unit I got from joe was not completely filled up, if it had been they would have had amlost the same amount of resin. I don't think this is much of an issue.

The vertical filter chamber is 2.5 x 10 inside dimension and the horizontal is 2.5 x 11.

Acxtually, it is pressure rated.... to 120 psi... Dont know where you get your information. Most Di resins in RO units DO NOT reach that value. BTW, Who is we???? The capacity is one liter, same as all the others. Guess what... all of our units are equipt with float valves. You have a really bad source for information.

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~
