Clam??????'s

Ok, I just got my clam in today and it is doing fine. Now its been months since I last read up about clams so I need a little brush up. If any one is wondering I ordered this one night out of the blue wasn't planing on buying one.

Question....

Do I feed it and if so what??

Where in the tank should I put it???

Should it be on a rock or the sand bed???

I also have a XL dimond goby will it hurt the clam in any way??

Sorry for all the questions I just want to get it right the first time. Also the clam is on it's side right now it looks happy like that but should it be on it's side??

Re: Clam??????'s

The rest of the questions depend on what kind of clam it is but generally you do not need to feed clams. They get most of their food from the lighting and the rest from the microscopic critters in the water. Very small clams need the boost of feeding but not most.

Re: Clam??????'s

Unless the clam is under 3 inches then you don't have to feed it. If it is then you have to do phyto.
