Nassarius Snail Stuck in Crocea Clam

I have a Crocea in my 24 gallon Aquapod. He has been with me for over a year now, and he has been doing great. This evening, when I came home, I noticed that there is a Nassarius snail stuck inside the clam. He can't get out because the clam has closed up. I am not sure exactly how the snail got in there, but the clam won't open up. What do I do? Obviously, I don't want to force the clam to open up. Any advice.

I would suggest removing all snails from your tank in the mean time Didn't you read my "snails are evil" thread?
You will just have to keep an eye on the clam for it to open up. Do you have something to grab the snail with when it does? Your going to need to be quick.

It may end up with the snail dying in the snail then it expelling the shell later... hope things work out...

People come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
