Drive by clamming

Many years ago, I got the clam addiction (much like a crack addiction...only worse) and thought I had kicked it when I took a break from the hobby until about 18 months ago. Being that I have a 20g tank and hardly ever have room, have always felt there was too much water motion to keep clams, I've steered away from the clam tank every time I went to the LFS and have stayed away from clamsdirect.com as well. This past week, I took in some frags to the LFS, made out pretty good to, and got enough credit to pick up a few Monti frags an acropora a new copy of Bronemans Aquarium Corals (we won't go into what happened to the last copy) and this.....

It's not the sweetest clam in the world, but it was an impulse and it looks good in the system. I can't seem to take a pic that catches it's color, the purple only looks purple at eye level, looking even slightly down on it and it floresces greenish blue. Not sure if it is a problem with the nikons (noted for having problems with blue) or it's the clam.

LOL, Wit!! Kevin, the clams were beckoning you to take them. Don't worry, it wasn't your fault - they had been sending you subliminal messages all along. They just finally had the better of you. lol

That can be an ugly discussion to have. Been there and done that. This is why I have a beautifully insulated Dog House. All it needs is the Big Screen TV, a microwave and Refrig (for the beer).
