| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: derrassa situation The clam book that I have "Giant Clams in the Sea and the Aquarium" says that young Dersea's should placed on the rockwork mostly so they attach and don't get knocked over. Larger Derseas can be either on the rock or in the sand.

| Has been struck by the ban stick | Re: derrassa situation I'm not quite clear as to what your question is. Are you asking whether or not it's okay to place a derasa clam on a rock or substrate? If that's the case, the answer is either/or. If you've got PC lights, it's best to place them on a rock higher up so they can absorb more light. |

| Neon dottyback | Re: derrassa situation T. derasa is a sand bed dwelling clam. As juvie's. they should be placed on a flat type rock and as they age and grow they can be placed on the sand bed. They are also lower lighting needy clams so pc, vho lighting is fine for them. Considering the depth of the tank too.
