| Sponsor | Maxx, You are correct. : ) If one attaches to the botton of the tank or even a rock, gentle lean it to one side ( Very little presure) and cut the thread at the tank. The continue to do that all around the clam. Very slow process though. That is what when I intoduce a clam into a tank I like to have a small shell or flat piece of rock under his byssal then he can be moved from place to place.

| Midas Blenny | I have some Maxima on the bare bottom. They do fine. They like to tip over occasionally ... but they don't seem to mind. I try to let them lean against some rock. One actually attached to some rock at the base at about a 45 degree angle and it seems fine. I think Crocea however may need something to grab onto or bore into. |
