Spawning Event?

Water Parameters today
PH 8.2
nitrates 0
sal 1.026
alc 8.6
calc 360
mag 1230
Last night did a 5 gal wc, this morning tank was hazy and skimmer was in overdrive, everything in tank was very happy except one of my clams that opened much later than normal.Anyone have any experiance with this??Steve

usually clams don't spawn in captivity. When they do it's almost always due to stress. If you think the clam spawned then it may be due to the low calcium. We just had a MARSH members clam spawn and it was due to low alk. He was out of town and 1 of our members was checking on his tank. It also is usually necessary to get it cleaned up asap. It can foul water quicker than anything else.

Thats good, sasquatch..sometimes it can be a mess on a reef tank and things not end up good.

Update!, no baby clams and no more muck, I did prune another 1/2 gallon of halemida afterwards
