Post Crocea Clam emergency!

Here is my problem. I purchased a crocea clam and I have placed it in my tank. When I purchased it from the pet store it was opened great. Now that it is home it opens just to the point of the mantle coming over the edge of the shell. Then it retracts.( at first thought to much current but I shut off power heads at that end of the tank for the past 48 hrs and still the same.) I have been feeding kent phytoplex and also kent zooplex with also adding two little fishies "marine snow" I have the clam place about 10 inches from top.
HELP!!

My setup is a 75gallon reef tank full of live rock with 2-250watt 10k metal halide bulbs. And 2- 65watt actinic power compact bulbs. I have an aqua clear 150 sump with protein skimmer working great. Also have a fluidized bed fliter trickleing back over the bio balls. Also I am using a UV sterilizer. Have great water circulation and keep up on regular water changes. My levels are perfect. My calcium is between 420-460.

At the store he was on the bottom (on sand)of a 110 so he wouldnt attach to a rock (which he HAS in mine) I also have multiple other corals. Star polyps, xyenia, leathers and may other to much mention but everything else is great!!

Re: Crocea Clam emergency!

How did you introduce the clam to the tank?
How does your SG compair to the store.
How does your temp compair to the store.

Some suggest a slow drip method to acclimate over hours to prevent that "tank change" shock.

Hope things are workin out....

Steve
