| Scopas Tang | Which fish do I get? My LFS has a Bi-color angel and a Pygmy angel (cherub), my goal is to eventually have some coral in my thank but for now I want some fish that will eat some of the hair algie, which one of these two would be better for me?

| Totally back ![]() | I personally wouldn't trust either of those angels around any lps corals. Espcially if you are adding the corals after the fish.

| Plate Coral ![]() | I'm not sure that either of those fish will eat hair algae. If you are planning on getting corals, the cherub pygmy generally has a better reputation. Bi-colors are supposed to be among the worst of the coral nippers. But like Mike said, you're taking a risk either way.

| Tubeworm ![]() | If your goal is to have a grazing fish, try a gold eye tang or really any other tang. 98% of angels are not reef safe and if you have coral, they will nip at it constantly. Also, be vigilant with the tangs. You really don't want 2 conspecific tangs together. |

| Scopas Tang | Would a tang be better for the hair algie then? without the risk of them nipping on the coral that is. I like the Brown and the kole eye tang, but I heard the tangs are much agressive.

| Totally back ![]() | For hair algae it is hard to beat the good ole yellow tang. Lawnmower blennies can be pretty good also.

| Tubeworm ![]() | I have a regal tang (dory) and an orange eye tang. I originally got the orange eye because I had an algae problem (not hair algae). Within 2 - 3 days, the agae was gone thanks to the tang. I thought he was a bit lonely so I got him a friend (regal tang). To this day they have never fought and it seems that the regal follows the orange eye around when they are grazing, kind of like a little brother. I also have a wrasse, 2 percula's, flame angel, and a watchman goby. They all seem to get along great. I have always been told that putting tangs together is ok as long as they don't have the same body shape. Hope this helps... |

| Scopas Tang | Well, I ended up not getting any of my original choices, the Cherub was gone and the Bi-color was there but I went for the Lawn mower blennie and a Yellow watchman goby, the are getting acclimated at this moment. Thank you for your help. I think my next fish will be a Tang.
