My new 90 Gallon Pred tank!

well,

Its been a while sense i have been online, Not to mention this board Had a few issues with my tanks and such.. But things are getting back on track..

Just wanted to show everyone my new 90 Gallon ( Old freshwater ) Pred tank!


Well here she is..

TANK
-90 Gallon all Glass tank
-Hang On CPR Overflow 90
-20 Gallon custom Sump divided for Refugium
-Return pump is a Rio 2100
-Hang on Power filter using Carbon inserts only
-Maxi Jet 1200
-2.5 gallon Tank ( Holding Rosy Red Minnows ) live food for the lionfish and Eel.
LIGHTING
-2 x 110 Watt VHO's ( actinic and Aqua sun )
-24 watt 10k T5 Over sump

LIVESTOCK
-60 pounds of live rock
-Snowflake Eel ( 8 inches long )
-2 Domino Damsels
-True Black Volition Lion Fish ( 5 inches )

At the moment he is only Eating Rosy Red Minnows.. But I'm trying to get him trained on Krill and Silver sides.. Just not working so well.. Yet.

Yea it was the only way to keep myself pre occupied so i would not tear down my reef.. I have had a few Blips in the road with it.. And have become Very Flusterated..

But i guess.. It will all be good soon

freshwater fish provide none of the nutrition that sw fish need to truly thrive, if you have tried the method of shaking a silver side on a stick and he wont take first try to soak that silver side with garlic extreme it helps to induce the appetite. Also if he will only take to silver sides make sure to soak them in some sort of vitamin to give them more nutritional value. I found the best things that my lion ate were scallops and mussels and if he would ever turn his nose up at them use squid, it smells awful, but thats just the reason that the fish are attracted to it
