| Scopas Tang | I need some suggestions please Here is the situation The boss (my fiance) says i can set up a new tank now here is the kicker it has to be FOWLR and the stock list has to be centered around a purple tang (zebrasoma xanthurum)the tank is a 150g (48x24x30) it will have a 65g sump/fuge and a rather large skimmer the tank will be BB and have about 125lbs of LR stacked no more than 12 to 16in at the highest point because I want to make the mos of the swim room I have. I will also have about 2500gph for flow. Now keeping in mind all of these factors i need some help. The boss says anything goes within reason the fish can be aggressive as long as they have some energy and will move around. Her only other stipulations are no clowns and no damsels she wants beautiful fish that will become pets that her and the kids can enjoy it doesnt matter to her if the fish will bite me or not she doesnt clean the tank so with the equipment in mind and the stipulations set forth by her majesty lets here the ideas that you all have. Everything will be taken into consideration and everything we put in the tank will be as a result of your input and pictures will follow as everything comes together. thanks in advance Shaun |

| Reef Shark ![]() | Phew!! She's laid down some good restrictions! I take it that this is 30" tall? You have quite a few great options here. Many of the wrasses will fit the bill, although most will eat any snail or shrimp in the tank, a couple of the Large angels would do well in the tank, (but not many), dwarf angels, gobies, many triggers, butterflies, Dude, the ocean is your stocking ground! Just keep in mind the adult size of the fish you're considering, because they will be a PITA to catch out later! |

| Scopas Tang | A puffer of some sort is definately worth considering the only problem is, is that my son wants a dog face and my daughter wants the "sticky fish" that looks like ET gotta love 3yr olds my son is 5 BTW and he knows his fish so now we need to decide which puffer lol my only problem is, is that i dont want to have to remove these fish if they get to large and try to pawn them off on someone else because i made a misjudged impulse buy so these fish will have to become part of the family till nature says their time is up lol

| Tuxedo Urchin ![]() | Well, the first thing that comes to my mind is a picasso or clown trigger!!! I think a purple tang will hold his own with one of those guys? If I'm wrong, someone please correct me IMO there isn't a cooler looking fish out there than a picasso and I understand they get very tame, which meets her pet requirement Good luck. Let us know what you decide. ![]()
