| Over Achiever | Re: Live rock in a F.O tank? It will look more natural and provide some needed biological filtration as well as provide refuge for fish when they feel threatened. Which by the way is a major stressor of fish which can lead to lowered immunity and sickness. In nature the only fish you see in open water are large predators, schooling fish and the odd balls. All other fish hang out around rocks and places of shelter. LR is a must for the fish you are planning on having (Lionfish, Trigger, Snowflake eel etc). Unless you plan on using some other kind of shelter material (PVC pipes, cinder blocks homemade rocks), LR is a must. |
