CA reactors

whats the opinion on ca reactors for FOWLR tanks? i have some ric's and may get more mushrooms in the future(MAYBE). are they good to have or are they reallyjust for reefs?would a doser do?

This doesnt answer your question but if you have rics and other things arent you now a reefer and no longer a FOWLR?

It wouldnt be needed and just another expense. Unless your going reef I think your fine without one.

You will need to keep an eye on your water prams with corals in the tank now but no you don't need a reactor. Water changes should be enough for a lightly stocked reef.

No you don't need a CR on a FOWLR nor do you need it if you going to keep a reef with only Softies. A CR isn't easy to use and can severely affect your ph levels so you need to carefully monitor it.
