starting a 300 gallon sw fish only this summer

Hi everyone.Im planning on starting a 300 gallon this summer and have some questions about livestock and lighting. I would like to put more money into a protein skimmer and filtration. This will be built into a wall with the help of a friend who also owns my lfs. I just want some opinions on decent lighting choices and some links if possible. I want to read as much as possible. My livestock choices were Harlequinn tusk, magnificent foxface, vlamingi tang, desjardini tang,imperator angel,blueface angel,achilles tang,sargassum trigger, and a blue jaw trigger. Please give me your opinions on over stocking, compatability issues, or any other pros and cons. Thank you

Looking at your credentials makes me feel good about my selection. Can you recomend lights. I allready have two reef tanks so I wont be converting this one, strictly FOWLR.

I would opt for T5's just because of the lower heat & the lower energy consumption

Solaris all the way. I wish I would have spent the up front money and bought their system.

for a fish only, thats alot of money. FO tanks dont need bright light.

i agree good choice for those same reasons plus under normal conditions the bulbs will last for a good while

oops, sorry, didn't notice that it was going to be a FOWLR. Any chance you might want to add corals or an anemone in the future?
