Meet Frank the Puffer fish

Well I decided on getting a puffer fish.

I got a Porcupine puffer. Right now he is in a 30 gal Q tank. He is soooo cute!

The 75 is cycling pretty good. I added water from my reef tank and some rocks and sand. So it's going pretty good. I'm thinking of switching the tanks around. Moving the reef to the 75 gal and putting Frank in the 90 gal.

Oh I called him Frank because he has blue eyes like Frank Sinatra

A few pics of the little bugger

His cute lil face Showing up his pretty blue eyes.

This was suppose to be a pic of his face but he moved LOL.

Eating his squid.

Re: Meet Frank the Puffer fish

Too cute! We just got a pocupine puffer as well (a few weeks ago anyway)! Looks just like Frank! But her name is Minnie. My 4-year old really wanted to name her Minnie Mouse, but we explained that she wasn't a mouse... she was a puffer... and we settled on Minnie Puffer.

She's a lot of fun already!

We have been feeding her krill cut into thirds, what do you feed?

These guys have wonderful personalities!

If you haven't seen the movie "Shark Tale" it's a must see. It stars Martin Scorsese as the voice of Mr. Sykes, the mafioso puffer fish. It's a lot of fun!

Re: Meet Frank the Puffer fish

I really like him/her! He comes right to the top of the tank when he sees me. Acts like he has been here for ever. He even follows me when I move around the room.

I only got him the other day. He has eaten krill and squid so far. Don't seem to be picky at all LOL. He has settled in very well.

I seen one at the LSF when I got this one and it spit! It was soooo funny.
I never knew puffers spit water.

Re: Meet Frank the Puffer fish

Yep, I know that, but thanks

I'll be getting a mixture of stuff for Frank to eat. But right now all I have are the shrimp (with the shell), squid and krill. I'll be getting more this week end when I do my own food shopping

He is getting shrimp today. Yesterday he had the squid and the day before he ate krill.

Yupp ... no problem, agree .... my "Knurbsi", a black spotted puffer, even gets twice a week food with hard shells. He gets all the other days shrimps, Stint etc.

I wishes you a lot of fun with "Frank" !

btw porcupine puffers stands also on my shopping list.
