| Star Polyps | Back again :) I don't know who all remembers me, but I'm back. I had to tear down my 90 saltwater tank when I lost my job back in June last year ![]() Still have the 90 but it now is a planted freshwater. I have just gotten a 45 gal bowfront tank. Well it's my sisters and she decided she didn't want it in her living room anymore, so I'm baby sitting it. I decided to set it up as a salt water tank. Just with fish and live rock. I was thinking of a couple of clowns and some little critters. If I do go the clown route, what other fish can I put in there? I know not many. Maybe one or two different fish. I'm thinking a goby and maybe a firefish, somthing along those lines. If they will fit in the tank I know I want feather dusters and the shrimp ![]() OH I did save everything I need like my protein skimmer and my rock, which of course isn't live anymore LOL. But I can get it going again with a peice of the live stuff. |

| Wannabe Guru ![]() | Re: Back again :) Welcome back Annie AFA tankmates for the Clowns Gobies/firefish would be great and when mature enough maybe a Dwarf Angel. If adding a more than one Goby make sure you add them simultaneously.

| Star Polyps | Re: Back again :) Thanks ![]() I'm happy to be back. I don't have the tank here yet. I'm picking it up tomorrow. Then all I have to do is drag the skimmer and the rocks up from my basement!! As of right now I'm not really thinking of adding coral, but that might change once it's set up and going. But I don't have the lighting for that right now. Thanks for the input on the fish. I like the clowns, but being it's a smaller tank I didn't want to overload it with extra fish. I thought I might be able to get away with the Goby and a firefish in with them, but wanted to make sure. The rest of the critters will be like shrimp and snails. I just want a peaceful pretty tank ![]() |

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: Back again :) Welcome back. Sounds like a good plan. I would get more than one piece of LR to seed the base rock though. The more LR you add the quicker it is going to be able to effectively work as you bio-filtration. You should be fine with that amount of fish as long as you go slow when adding them.
