| The Wand Geek was here. ;) ![]() | Re: Water Change ??? Strange. Newly mixed saltwater should be clear within 10-20 minutes. It is always best to mix the new saltwater for 24-48 hours prior to use in order for it to reach its equillibrium. Use a powerhead or airstone. With this said, I have used newly made salt water within 30 minutes of mixing with no clouding of the water at all. Maybe the calcium/alkalinity is very high in the salt you're using (I ahve never used Ocean Sea Salt) and the calcium is precipitating out of solution. You might want to try a different salt.

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: Water Change ??? Have you checked at your lfs? Most will sell ro/di or ro water pretty cheaply. You just have to bring in a jug or however many you need filled. Mine sells it either with or without salt.

| Bryozoan | Re: Water Change ??? I'm not totaly sure this is the right answer. But I noticed that my tank was allways kinda cloudy or dirty. Had lots of particulates in it all the time. I added a cloth bag of charcole under the foam in my refusion and it cleared it up right away. Now it stays as clear as at my local store.
