OP's on filtration for a large FO tank?

Hello everybody, Been kinda tied up lately hope Ya'll enjoyed the respite!
I won't bore you with the why's but I want to keep my 200 as a FOWLR. I removed the 250 mh lamps and reinstalled the old NO florescent lights on it. Now I have a medium size Sailfin, Koran Angel , A large gramma and 3 Chromis. I returned the colt and toadstool softies for credit. My fish wish list includes more chromis two more tangs and wrasse and maybe butterfly.
I have a high flow 50 gl sump, An ASM G4X skimmer and a 20gl Refugium with Chaeto only. The tank is almost a year old now with a DSB and around 250lbs of LR. I feel confident my current setup will handle the extra bioload . However I'd appreciate Op's on how You would set up a filtration system specifically for a large fowlr tank.

Fish only ehh? You have plenty of rock/sand for the nitrifying bacteria to colonize and the ASM G4X skimmer is awesome. With those, all you'll need is a phosphate media to keep the algae away, occassional carbon to polish the water, and your regular water changes to keep the parameters good. Installing a few micron filter socks will help keep the ditritus down... also, don't forget to blow the rocks off and carefully siphon out any ditritus on your sand bed/overflow/sump. Keep an eye on nitrates!

Have you thought of the order you'll add the fish? Which tangs are you going to get? I would probably add the two tangs last and simoultaneously.

Well I'm not going to jail or getting married ! Just kiddin folks. I'm sure going to jail .. I mean getting married has it's good points. Not to bore Ya'll with details. My bulbs were worn out and no cash to replace them at the moment. Had HA running rampant . I may be away from the house for a while and nobody I trust to deal with this situation. I pulled the rock for a good scrubbing and put up the NO lighting. The Ha seems to be under control.I'm just down sizing fora while. any fish additions will be after I return. I have some excellant neighbors who will hang out and know how to feed and mix salt. But they all refuse to clean the skimmer! I just want a reliable filtration that won't be a hassle. I plan a hippo and a yellow tang 1st.. I'm prepared to add them at the same time and remove the resident sailfin if any trouble pops up. I may be in the WestPalm area and hope to find a better selection of fish while there. I think my water bound buddys will be ok with my current setup. Thanks for the advice Miss Donnie. If You don't hear from me for a while don't think Ya'll got rid of me!

We'll miss you while you are gone. Hadn't seen you in a while already.
