He isn't that big. You can see him in the front right hand corner in the first pic. He looksl ike a rock. Plus he is only there to help the cycle.

Big ole stone crab, He looks pissed too! Those claws are so strong . Jay did You use seawater or mix your own? That BIG stone crab is pretty tough but the water is going to go through some changes .You read up on the nitrogen cycle right? the crab might not survive. MAybe a smaller crab or a couple live shrimp for now. Please confirm You plan a local fauna tank only for the time being.

I mixed it up with sea salt. I don't understand the confirming local fauna part?

Re: Some pics. of my tank so far

Thanks. Jay,It's way to early for the Stone Crab .Your system is pretty much sterile at this point. The crab has little chance of surviving and deserves to be released. Not preaching here just giving it to ya straight. It's gonna take a long time for your tank to mature and patience is number one right now. So You have the Wet/dry hooked up and the water is flowing thru the system ok? Your lights will be fine for keeping fish only. Can you give us a pict or two of how your moving the water thru the setup. Like how the water drains from the tank into the W/D then how the pump returns the water back to the tank. Here are the current FL laws on collecting marine life . The Fish a Game officers are real serious about this.

Re: Some pics. of my tank so far

Yes, the water flow is up and running good. Here are some pics.

This is the left side. The side that pumps the water into the tank.

This is the right side, where the water is sucked in. You can see it in the pic.

This is where the suction goes down into the w/d.

And here is where the pump sucks the w/d water in, to shoot out of the left side pump.
