Here is me plumbing plan for my 75 gal FOWLR. Could everyone check it out and give any feedback on what I missed or if I need to add anything.

Remove the Bio-balls! They are Nitrate magnets. If you really want to keep them, you'll have to clean them occassionaly. Recommendation is to remove about 1/4 worth at a time.

Re: 75 gal plumbing

Ok what should I use in place of the Bio Balls?

I was pondering a closed loop with the second pump using a canister filter with carbon and filter cartrage. Any thoughts?

Re: 75 gal plumbing

Just a few more questions for everyone.

I have been having trouble finding filter socks where can I get them?

I am assuming there are diffrent mesh sizes what size is appropriate for a 75 gallon FOWLR?

Should I turn the sump into a refugium?

What do you put in a refugium?
