| Star Polyps | I am currently setting up a new tank in which i want a fish only tank,I have 32 gallons and from the two formulas posted to calculate how many fish, the first one calculates that i can only have six inches and the second one calculates 34 inches.Which is the correct one as i already have six fish that i am planning to put in there once full maturation has occured.

| Sunshine Reefer | Re: how many fish again?? One inch per 5 gallons of water seems to be the standard. Also, remember that is based on the adult size of the fish. So if you get a juvinile fish you need to calculate based on the adult size of the fish. Peace Lynn

| The Wand Geek was here. ;) ![]() | Re: how many fish again?? 1" of ADULT fish per 5 gal of water.... OR... the least amount of bioload that allows your nitrAtes to stay at 10ppm or less doing routine water changes.

| Wannabe Guru ![]() | Re: how many fish again?? If you love fish you'll be very limited by a 32 gallon tank, 3 small fish would max the tank out even with very good filtration.
