Kole and juvy Koran

I have a kole tang and I currently added a juvy koran, and the kole is picking on it. I have read that koles shouldn't be aggrestive. I am worried about my koran, but currently don't have a extra tank set up to put one in. What should I do???????

Re: Kole and juvy Koran

tangs, evern Koles are territorial. turning the lights off will help,,,as will rearranging the rocks to disturb territories.

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

Re: Kole and juvy Koran

Hopefully your Koran Angel is healthy enough to withstand the aggression for a few days. Any fish that has been established for a period of time in particular Tangs will harass the new additions. That's why stocking order is so important, you always want to add the smallest least aggressive fish first otherwise there's certainly going to be problems. Wit mentioned some good suggestions I would try those.

Re: Kole and juvy Koran

When I lived in sandiego in 1997 I had a kole tang and later added a koran angel. But before I released him I rearranged the rock work and had no problems.
