| Dragon Moderator ![]() | Re: 75g Bowfront The most important question first: What type of fish do YOU like? What is good and what you like don't always match and saltwater fish are expensive so you don't want to invest any money in animals you don't like. You are the one who gets to watch the tank, not us! With the information that you have given we would only be able to recommend fish that we think are interesting or good for someone just starting out. What type of tank do you want? (Fish only or eventually going for a reef, predator, community etc.) What equipment do you have for the tank? Do you have any live rock or live sand? Have you cycled the tank yet? The more information you can give us about what interests you and the status of the tank, the better we will be able to help you. It's easier to say what types of fish to avoid for a while as they are much harder to care for then most saltwaterfish: Dragonets, Anthias, Butterflyfish, Batfish, Seahorses, Pipefish, Your best bet is to go around to local LFS's and find out what they have available then write down the names of the fish and come back to do some research on them, ask question about them and then decide. Before being able to tell you how fast you may or may not be able to add fish, we need to know more about your set up, but the general rule is to GO SLOW!! You cann't go wrong when you take your time and do your research. Make a list of ALL the fish that interest you, then we can help you sort through whether or not they are compatible with YOUR setup, goals and tankmates.

| Tunicate | Re: 75g Bowfront The tank is going to be a fish and live rock only. The tank has been cycled and I have a Fluval 404 canister filter system. I have about 35# of rock in there now. I went to the pet shop and talked with them last night and they said that I seemed to have a great set up. They gave me a Fire Goby to try. Does anyone have any info that I should have on that fish or anything. Like I said, I am new at this and definitely want to have successful tank. I am really excited. Does anyone have any useful websites that could be helpful? Thanks for all your help guys. I greatly appreciate it. |
