ReviewPost is now installed.

This will be our new reviews section, and another big asset to ReefSanctuary made possible by our contributing members.

In the future, members will be able to instantly upload their own reviews- no waiting for approval.

However, we need to configure all the categories and get it set up- so, temporarily, you will not be able to upload reviews instantly. This is just a temporary measure to help avoid confusion and complications in the set-up process.

We'll let you know when we "flip the switch for ya."

Thanks guys!

If you want to go ahead an add a review, feel free. I'd like to see how this thing works anyway, and we'll get the review to the right place when we come up with all the categories.

Thanks!!

Teri,
I just uploaded a product in the reviews (AquaC EV-120 skimmer) I included pictures and the upload shows successful and pending approval.

Teri and Travis,
I went ahead and tried a second upload and got an error on the photo upload. I then noticed that the image I had saved was a gif, so I saved it as a jpeg and tried the upload a second time again and it worked fine.

I'm working on categories for the reviews section. In the mean time, please put up your favorite products. We will move them to the proper categories later.

Apparently gif images don't work but jpg images do. Also, keep in mind that you might want to remember what reviews you put in there. Your opinion of a product might change with time.

Here is something I posted in January......I just tried a new product my LFS is using in their tanks. It is called Sea-Lab #28 and it is a block of calcium with trace elements. Supposedly, it is PH balanced and only dissolves if one of the trace elements or calcium is low in your tank. The first block I put in dissolved in 2 days. The second block is still there after 5 days.

I have been using it for one week. I have not had any PH swings from it and my calcium has stayed level. I have not seen any increase in my phosphates.

I will keep testing over the next several weeks. So far I have really liked it (but I'm always a little leery of new products). If I find that there are any bad side effects, I will post with the details.

I don't even use this product anymore. If I had put a positive review up for Sea-Lab 28, I would want to go back and add additional comments.

I truly believe that if all of us get behind this "bell and whistle" feature of RS, we will have really created something that will save a lot of people a lot of buck$.

I've never looked at the review post, can we add comments to reviews started by others? I know Maxx was going to (or already has done) a review of the Aqua-C remora, I just purchased this skimmer and will want to do a review of it in a week or so. So do I add my comments to his review, or are we looking to have multiple reviews on the same item?

Looks as if you can RR, it's very similar to Photopost. See this link and notice the "reply" button.
