Karma has been reset

OK guys, sorry to break the bad news....

Remember, we told you there were still issues that needed fixing and we asked you to bear with us since we opened up earlier than expected.

WAJones has been working on the karma hack, we all knew there were issues with it. Somewhere along the line, karma was reset, or backed up to the levels of several days ago.

Please accept our sincere apologies, but again, these bumps are to be expected as we try our best to get everything running perfectly.

I'm still running into some karma issues, so you should be prepared for it to be reset again if WAJones needs to do so. Hopefully it will all be squared away in the next couple of days.

We're working out more and more kinks every day, and if you're disappointed to see your karma go, just keep in mind that you got to see this place take shape first-hand, and we have all taken some lumps along the way to show for it. Also take comfort in the fact that the place we are building here will be around for some time to come, and you all have tons and tons of karma to look forward to giving and receiving in the days, months, and years ahead.

Cheers,

Travis

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

Yeah. We aren't the Brady Bunch. We are the Bruised and Battered Bunch. However we still like saying things like 'neato', 'cool', and 'groovy'. (Well maybe not groovy).

Just growing pains folks.

SaltyQueen, While I can't replace it all, I'll give you some good karma, just because .

It's not about Karma, that's just icing on the cake IMHO, its the help, information, and family atmosphere that abounds here. By the way SQ, you are way over 100 as I type!

That happened when I posted all my Shedd Aquarium Pics. Apparently, now we get 5 karma points every time we post, so they added up pretty quick!

Hmmm ... okay you folks whining up at the top here -- still with 175 - 250 karma points, I think I have all of *2* right now, LOL!

This probably won't "stay" - Travis & I will need to revisit how karma points are doled out.

One new thing (I hope this is a fair trade for karma points being reset....) --

There is now a link to your karma in your User CP. If you click on your UserCP, there's a link up next to "Private Messages" -- "My Karma".

More info. later as we work through a few minor remaining issues.

Thanks!

No problem with the Karma being reset, it is like getting a pat on hte back, so I know one day it will be working the way it should.
