Server issues?

Curt has brought it to my attention that several people were experiencing server issues/ notices. If you’ve had a problem, please reply here and let us know what happened, when, what the message was, etc. so we can get to the bottom of this.

Server problems have to be one of my biggest pet peeves, please help us out with this info so we can solve this ASAP.

What do you define as server issues?

I have spent a good deal of time on this site the llast couple of weeks and never got so much as a server time out much less an issue. So I guess that is a no problems here.

Kevin, I'm not sure- that's what I'm trying to find out. Could very well actually be a software issue.

I haven't had any problems either, this was the first I've heard about it.

the only prob i had was when the new announcement for reef cronicles was put up, the home page gallery pics were distorted for a few hours, other than that the site is loading and posting quickly.

Evening bump. Did anyone maybe have problems with chat?

Yes all day sunday until about maybe 8 pm, in the chat room the server was unavailable and wasn't allowing you to log in

No biggie though it is working now!!

Ah...OK, it was the chat room. That makes more sense. Probably a mIRC issue then but we'll keep an eye on it.

Yep - like Travis said, likely mIRC (specifically, probably XNet server issues).

Unfortunately, even though we can set up the chat room, and provide a link to the room (which resides on the XNet server), the XNet server itself is not owned or controlled by RS.

Fortunately, it doesn't seem to happen very often! ;-)
