Un-Default-ifyer

Ya know the lil icon that appears at the top of you page in the tab representing the window in you internet browsing program. Well I talked to Travis about the defaults here and at ReefSpace. I say we get the defaults traded in for a original RS icon. But this is a community, not a dictatorship. So what do you think? Get rid of the defaults for a unique RS icon, or keep the ugly, bland default. Vote. I have a few ( around 20 ) drawn up but if anyone has ideas to submit feel free to post them here. It has to be 16x16px. Travis, I hope this is alright? If/when we do decide to change it, then we can/will vote on the icon its self. Sound good?

For the techno doofuses, we're talking about the little design that appears on the tab next to "reef sanctuary," right?

I say yes, as long as it's not a big drain on ... the server? bandwidth? what am I lookin' for here...? Travis' underwear budget?

I like Booze's suggestion but the RS logo would be nice.
I am with Kathy though. If it is more drain on the server then never mind.

It's an .ico file isn't it?
What programs make those files? And, how much do they cost?

I vote for something RS specific

It's just a small ico file and would cause no additional server load.

Yeah, Kathy, thats it. Yea, it is a .ico. A new icon would be no more stain on the sever than now, witch is a minute amount.

An RS specific one would be pretty cool though I would probably not noticed if you didn't bring it up.

The file in question is called favicon.ico

I have tried to convert the RS logo to that before, but it just looks like a blob. I think we have either 16x16 pixels or 32x32 pixels to work with so it needs to be simple.
