| Reef Lobster ![]() | Subscription status Do subscriptions ever run out automatically? I may be losing my mind (sometimes I use the quick reply, sometimes I subscribe so I could certainly be confused) but it seems that a number of threads that I was once subscribed too reappear without the email notification. Is this just the result of the site updates? Is anyone else having these issues? Sorry if it has been discussed previously, I have been out of the loop lately so I haven't been able to keep up as much as I would like to. Thanks Scott T. |

| Regular Guy Moderator ![]() | I'm not sure. This seems to happen to me as well. When I edit a post to a thread I was previously subscribed to, the subscribed box is checked, so I am really confused. May be part of the server change hoodoo voodoo, eh? ![]()

| Contributing Member ![]() | It could very well have been the server move, The database corrupted rather easily and that could have been a problem. However I have noticed the same thing, one way to check is go to you user cp and have your subscribed threads listed, if it is receiving replies and you are still subscribed to the thread, and you have it marked in your preferences to receive email notification...then it is most likely an email problem. To simply answer the question though, subscriptions do not run out or expire unless you unsubscribe from the thread. There is a link in each email to unsubscribe, is it possible the last time you got a notification you clicked the wrong link? It should have taken you to a page telling you you are no longer subscribed to that thread. |
