Karma From?

I know i have to watch when I give Karma I forget to put my name most of the time. Is there a way we can have it so it automatically adds or name?

I don't know this for sure but I think the premium membership allows you to see who it's from.

but that doesn't help the karma receiver know who gave them karma unless they are a premium member.

You guys sure about this because I could see who gave me Karma when I wasn't a premium member...maybe I was fortunate to have a glitch somewhere, but I always knew who gave me Karma...

if someone puts there name on it you can see but if they dont you cant or at least I can not

Yeah you won't know who it was unless they sign it if your not a premium member. Good reason to become one though!

I try to always sign my karma. Before Premium membership it was the only way to know where the karma came from and particularly when giving to new members it is the only way they will know.

The whole idea behind karma is something that's anonymous, i.e., non-reciprocal. if you choose to add your name, fine, but anonymous by default allows for the giving on negative karma without fear of repercussions. AND, I might add, the giving of positive karma without the EXPECTATION of it being reciprocal (which is fundamentally counter to what karma is supposed to be).

My thoughts are that it should stay the way it is, but if enough people want it to work differently, I'm willing to take it up with the moderators.

It doesn't matter to Me either way. I'm willing to sign my negative as well as positive. If I'm man enough to give negative I'm man enough to take what comes from it. I think of Karma as more of a pat on the back thing and I usually know who's patting Me on the back (at least I THINK I do ).

Either way works for Me... heck it's all good... I see Jack's point but I also see where being anonymous (that was a toughie to spell on the fly) is a positive.

I honestly don't care. I give karma both positive and negative when I feel it's deserved. Except for the one time I gave Lynn some negative when I wasn't payinng attention and hit the wrong button. Had her going for a while until I explained I'd goofed. I'm sure that she thought I was ticked off at her when she first saw it.

I'm good either way as well. I sign mine so the person knows that I appreciate their comment, pic etc, not in hopes of them giving it back but I certainly can see that side. I have only given negative karma once but I did sign that as well. Now that I think about it though, it was nice to have the choice to sign or not.
Yes Doc you did have me confused since the post it was on I was agreeing with you. I was wondering what I had missed until you sent your little note. Then I laughed. It's all good in my book.
