Forum upgrade bug tracking thread - Page 3

I still need to upgrade the knowledgebase. (sorry!) Until I can get that running again, you can get the same information from our sister site, www.reefindex.com

It does appear our server has been having some hiccups the last couple of days so if you get any posting problems or error messages please by all means send me a PM or email with a copy of the error page. That goes for any time, I always want to know about problems our members may have. Servers are fickle and need the occasional kick in the rear...

Since the upgrade I have occasional problems with post quick reply. If I go advanced the post goes through fine, and many the quick reply is fine also. Since I work on computers in a different way I know it is almost impossible to troubleshoot withought some key. It does seem to be the longer posts I make but I am not certain on that.

I have the same issue Lynn. I am glad you took the time to tell travis (since I have not).

The 'quick reply' is so slow, that I no longer use it.

Sometimes (even most of the time) it is just fine. Occasionally it gets kind of stuck and the only work around I have found is the go advanced button. Then saving from there is usually fast as usual.
I did think of my cleints on this one and me replying to them "well did you tell me it was broken?" If nobody speaks up at all then it has no chance of getting fixed. Meanwhile not a bad workaround for the time being.

Well then a good soaking in vinegar water ought to take care of the problem. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm sure my IT guy will love it on Monday when I show up with a vinegar soaked laptop. ROFL

i also have quick reply stick sometimes. oh also, a really annoying bug, for some reason the forum doesnt force pages to refresh. my browser is set to refresh the cache every 5 hours or so, but most forums force the page to refresh. i end up clicking a forum, then hitting refresh, then clicking a thread, then hitting refresh... its not that horrible, its just that other forums dont do that, just this one.

Not sure what kind of bug it would be considered, but the time displayed on posts is always fast. I keep my PC clock adjusted to the US Naval Office's Master clock, and the time stamp on posts is always several minutes fast...(right now, about 10 min.)

this has been happening soradically to me as well,...the longer the post the more it hangs.
