Clam Forum

Hello Everyone!

Well I talked to Travis in chat last night and asked if it would be a good idea to have a clam forum where we can go and put pics of our clams and learn about their care and our experiences with them.

I think this would benefit us all and for those who are thinking of having clams in the future. I would like to say clams are not for the beginner as certain requirements have to be made to assure the best survival of a clam.

Example: You need in my opinion a very mature reef tank before acquiring a clam. Anyways more would be discussed in the clam forum if there is enough interest from the members to have such a forum.

So if you think this is a good idea please voice your thoughts here so Travis can decide! Thanks so much!

I'm moving this to the Suggstion Box. We're always open to the possibility of new forums, as long as they will be active and there is enough interest. If you think you would commonly use a clam forum, as Johnny stated, please let us know here and myself, Teri and the mods will decide if there's sufficient interest.

Thanks!

I would like a clam forum. I have done a lot of research but there is nothing quite like being able to ask a clam keeper a question.

They are beautiful. I want anyone who buys one to know how to keep it healthy and growing.

I would love to see a clam forum. We have many members that are interested in keeping them, as well as many experienced members that can share their knowledge. I'll look forward to the new addition.

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~
