Smile baby potbelly

boy am i lucky. I got up on the 10th to find my little boy had 3 babies . Yes just 3 thats why i am lucky. I set up a make shift home for them not expecting them to make it. I know i might be jinxing myself but they look good . They are eating alot BBS cyclopeeze . I didn't want to get attached but i did. They are so cute very long, large snouts. and because they are bigger i can tell their personality already. I have a shy one, a brave one and a clown that acts like dad. drops from the top you think he just died. falls to the bottom only to get up and swim around or do it again. When his dad first did this i ran to the tank thinking somethings wrong NO just a game to give me more gray hair. Hang from the thermometer , and drop land in the soft sand get up go to thermometer and drop. Or chase a shrimp if i put one in . I love all my horses but potbelly are my favorite. I hope these guys make it. Matt get ready they are at it again you get the next batch.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Re: baby potbelly

Yes Matt .. I didn't know they are born that big. I feed them 5 times a day. They are eating some frozen when should i feed shaved mysis? I have to tell you i put a shrimp in with mom and dad. He went after it and tried to get it from the back, it turned and scared him he laid down on his side and played dead. then he slowly raised his head looked at it got up and swam away. She came over and killed it but didn't eat it. they keep me entertained . I wish someone else had potbellies i wonder if they all act like this.

Re: baby potbelly

If they are eating frozen you can start adding shaved mysis at anytime. Sooner they got onto that the faster they will grow.

It is funny how a little shrimp can make them run and hide. I had a male barbouri that used to do the same thing. It was the funniest thing to watch.
