Unhappy erectus missing

My boy is missing , i didn't see him yesterday but thought he could be hiding . But today after feeding them i still don't see him. My next step is to remove the caulerpa and rocks, that going to be a mess . I hope i find him i am very attached to them.

Re: erectus missing

Sorry to hear he is missing, Terri. He was difficult to find last time I as there too. Sometimes when the males are pregnant, they will go into hiding. Be careful removing the caulerpa as they can be hiding in the middle of it unseen.

Re: erectus missing

Yes this is the one we thought was but, Matt thinks the babies were redi . I can't believe i lost him, he was courting the other day right after i got back from vac.. he was so nice. Now the kuda/ erectus is couting the female erectus. she seams to like him. Matt thinks the kuda is erectus anyway. so maybe it will work.

Re: erectus missing

I am soo sorry for your loss. It is amazing how small of a spot they can fit into.

You shouldn't be mad at yourself, even finding him yesterday may not have been enough.

Re: erectus missing

Thanks everyone. I thinned out the macro, so i can see more. And moved the pump away from the back glass. There is one thing i just thought of. When i use to have one pair, and something would happen, i would worry alot about the other one being alone. This is the first time she has others . But she is staying up front looking at me, do you think they know. I think they do. Most of my horse sleep together at night all but Sterling WC . But even he is staying down at the bottom of them at night. I am lucky putting them together( not all at once) seamed to work .The tank is peaceful . Not recommending this it just happened and has worked so far.
