Questions about my seahorses setup. - Page 2

They are doing good. Its kinda hard to find a heater guard around here so I will most likely have to order a new heater with a guard. Also i saw somewhere on here that an airstone does something for the horses. Should I have one in there?

You don't need an airstone. As for the heater guard, you don't have to get a whole new heater, just order the guard. The link I posted previously sells just the guard that you can slip over your heater.

Will it fit any heater? I have a visi therm in there. Without seeing it up close I cant tell. I'm sure you have one or a few in your tanks. are they pretty versatile?

They are very versatile. I have them on 3 or 4 different types of heaters.

The cost of shipping for just the guard is more than the guard itself lol. Is there anything else I will need for this tank for now? Do you need a protein skimmer on a pony tank? Or anything else I can add to it and then transfer to the 55 gallon when I get that one? I am just making sure so I can order it now instead of later.

Nothing else I can think of. You can also go to your local craft store or WalMart and grab a sheet of plastic craft mesh for like $1 and a pack of zip ties for about the same price and make your own guard.

Cool maybe I will just do that. I think if I can build a stand I can make a guard lol. I will let you know what I do.
