Nice looking ponies, Terri. Has the aggression subsided any?

Re: Horn-E kudas

Dwarf ponies are actually very very hard to keep. They are all wild caught and need a lot of very small live food which plays havoc on your water quality.

Re: Horn-E kudas

Yup what Lynn said.

They require 2-3 feedings a day with live foods such as newly hatched brine, enriched 2-3 day old brine or copepods. They aren't really active and require a very high feeding density, each dwarf seahorse can consume up to 3,000 bbs or copepods a day.

You can't use and LR, LS or coarls with them unless it has been treated with something Panacure to remove any possible hydroids and bristleworms as they can/will kill the dwarfs. Most corals and clean up crews will also die from the panacure.
If you really think dwarfs are for you, and you have the time to commit to them let me know and we can try to put something together for you.

Re: Horn-E kudas

Well as today, the black male is still trying to show his dominance but he's so small.the barb could eat him. He puts his head down close to his chest, puffs out his chest and pushes into the others.

Re: Horn-E kudas

That could also be a courting display. As long as they aren't being aggressive you should be fine.
