Bahamas Bound...

I'm headed to Atlantis tomorrow for the first time. This place looks AMAZING:

They have some sweet looking tanks. Has anyone been there? Got any recommendations for me? I'll be there for a week, but with limited free time. I'm going out for the World Poker Tour Event, but I'm sure I can still get in at least a day or two of diving while I'm there.

I'm a PADI certified Instructor, btw.

I'll be taking a laptop with me, so if anyone has any "Must See" suggestions for me, fire away.

Thanks...

Re: Bahamas Bound...

I'm back. I took some pics, but in a huge hurry right before I left today (I'm such a procrastinator). Not sure how good the indoor fish ones are going to turn out, but hopefully a few will be decent.

I only went diving one day - yesterday. Did the Shark Dive at Stuart Cove's. It was AMAZING. I'll post a few pics from that soon...

Good.... I didn't play in the Main Event this time, but a buddy of mine did. He was knocked out late on Day 1.

I played in a few of the smaller tourneys, chasing in the first two.

I had a great time though - got to hang out with some old poker friend, and meet a whole bunch of new people too...

Next stop (for me, anyway - I don't play in very many events): 2006 WSOP.

Re: Bahamas Bound...

Sorry I didn't see this post sooner, could have told u how to go into the "Digs" for free. When we were there they wanted $30 bucks to tour it. That is one amazing place. My wife and I spent and afternoon there looking at all the tanks before going outside and looking around from the top. We didn't figure out that some of the bigger tanks were open air tanks till we made our way outside. We stayed at Cable Beach for a week and loved it. Also did the shark trip at Stewarts Cove, pretty neat, but enjoyed the Carrusso snorkling trip more. Took u out on an island for the day, fed u VERY well and the snorking was also pretty good in the shallows.

I actually wasn't nervous AT ALL.... which is why I think I like that photo. It's funny. I thought I would be nervous, but not even for a second. Freezing cold, yes. Concentrating on keepiong my hands tucked in, yes. But nervous - not a bit.

This was one of my top 5 dives ever, for sure...
