| Scopas Tang | Re: Salty Supply 210 gallon Build Believe it or not I am still moving foward with this project, Salty Supply takes up most of my time so I am taking my time with the tank at home...I already take care of 600 gallons at the shop. I ordered lighting yesterday...3 400 Watt Galaxy Electronic Ballast's, 3 Lumenmax Elites. And of course my christmas present to me below! Bubble King 300 Internal - went internal because I have such a huge sump. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| Scopas Tang | Re: Salty Supply 210 gallon Build One thing I really wanted to focus on with this system is automation...I wanted to do water changes with ease...no hauling trashcans or vinyl hose. I just want to flip a switch. So thas what I did. Here is the switch board...I turn off the return and skimmer and hit switch #8 which pumps the water outside via hard plumbing. Basically it empties the sump, approx 40-50 gallons from a 75 gallon sump. Then turn on the resevoir pump to return freshly made up saltwater from outside. The whole process takes about 10 minutes opposed to 45 minutes. Basically by flipping a couple switches. ![]() Here is the water change exit line(new saltwater from outside isn't installed yet) ![]() |

| Scopas Tang | Re: Salty Supply 210 gallon Build Few updates...I came home to a suprise! My GF was nice enough to go and get me an early Christmas gift! I went to feed everyone and there was 2 bags floating. 3 new fish! A midas blenny and 2 cleaner wrasse..we know that cleaner wrasse aren't the first pick but she wanted them in a good home...they have been paired in the same tank since they were imported and are getting along awesome and doing their courting dances and my purple tang loves them! they are eating pellets etc already right after introducing them to the tank. The midas isn't to happy with us yet. I'll get pic's asap. |

I'm digging this set up! A LOT!! I am using the same "switch board" for my pumps and LOVE IT! I've got each switch clearly labeled and it works great. Awesome idea on the "easy Water Change". We've got this "drawn" into our next system and will have it plumbed into the house drainage system from the start. Thanks for the updates Allen
