Fish ID

I'm kind of confused as to what type of fish I have I thought it was a blenny but now I'm not so sure ?? Anybody have a clue

I don't know the Latin name but they are the same fish in those links. We sell it as a red-checkered goby here in NJ.

I don't think that they're actually a Blenny or a Goby; the Parapercis genus is usually referred to as a "Sand Perch" or a "Grubfish".

thanx guys I'm thinking it's a perch and not a blenny it's behaviour is different, it's almost like a dartfish lightning quick and loves to hang around the bottom of the tank which is the reason I got him
