Looks pretty good. You might have issues with the clown gobies and SPS, but they are so darned cute!!!

I think there's a good chance your regal angel is going to be a problem- might want to rethink that one.

to RS prow ! Sounds like it's gunna be a great setup

According to my calculations your display tank will be approximately 112 gal so with the fish list you have is a bit heavy IMO.

The pygoplites diacanthus is a very difficult fish to keep and will possibly consume some of you soft corals like Zoo's and LPS. If you do decide to add him try to get it from the Red Sea these from what I've read are a bit more hardy.

The centopyge aurantonus could also be a problem in a reef so I would keep a close eye on him also.

The fridmani pseudochromis can become very aggressive especially with the smaller fish and constantly pick on them. My Sunrise Dotty was a huge mistake when I added him he picks a fight with just about everyone in the tank.

Wow,
You have more patience than 99%....no wait....99.9% of reefers out there!
I congratulate you if you actually have the self-control to add the fish over that time frame, with an "empty" tank for 6 months.

I agree your fish load is a tad on the heavy side, but doable in my opinion, especially with the slower time frame. Just make sure if you want ALL the fish on your list that you don't give in to the temptation purchases along the way!
I have had good experiences with the fridmani's in a tank that large, esp. if you go with tank raised, they seem a bit more docile.
Good luck,
Steve

Yes I agree that is commendable !

prow If you do decide to keep the stocking list you posted then IMHO you'll need a real good skimmer. Also I would add the smallest least aggressive fish first and make sure the fridmani pseudochromis, centopyge aurantonus, pygoplites diacanthus and the paracanthurus hepatus be the last one's and in that order, In My Opinion of course

thanks all, i believe patients is mandatory in this hobby. unless you like a lot of extra work i had to take this tank down about 3 years ago(big move) and have been thinking about it every since. still had my little 20gal to play with during the down time. the big tank has been running for about 1.5 months. added some mysid shrimp and pods about a week ago from my other tank to the sump and main tank. have not even started up the main tanks light up yet. light in the sump is on 24/7 though with a 18watt T5HO. my friend started his tank same time i did. he already has a few fish his cleaners and some other inverts. i bet in a year and a half he will be fighting some kind of bac, fungus, type issue. doing it the way i am i never really even get an alge bloom and the right coraline and stuff get a big foot hold before the "bad" stuff can even think about growing. food populations have time to establish. the same time in 1.5 years no alge issues and my coraline should have alot more growth aswell. partly why i dont need so many crabs and snails they become more like another nutrient producer. just need a few for the scraps, can always add those if needed however. i had a change of heart about the regal angel not because difficulties with getting a good one for the redsea but size. i will post the new list in new thread. sorry i will be repeating my system info. but the list will be very different would like to hear what you guys think about it and which list you like better. i am posting it now name will be "stocking list 2 feedback" this is a DIY sump stand and retrofit T5 lighting some modification on the tank nothing major.will post pics as soon as i can find my flashdisk been looking for it for about a month. think i will be buying one next week if it doesnt turn up. so hope to see you in the new thread

i agree with the above stated that it is a high bio load... and the wrasses with out a sand bed tough call... they might get stressed... also do these wrasses eat pods? i know the six line dies as well as a few others... watch out the mandarine might starve...

Quote:
They are diurnally active and sleep at night pinned within rockwork, protected by a mucus cocoon which they secrete around themselves. A similar cocoon in Parrotfish was demonstrated to protect the sleeping fish by masking its scent from the sensitive olfactory nerves of nocturnal predators. It is presumed that the cocoon performs the same function for Cirrhilabrus.
