How many fish do you have ???

I'm curious about how many fish people are keeping in their aquariums and what was the determining factor in deciding on that particular # of fish??? Was it tank size, filtration, swimming room etc.

Don't be afraid to post for fear of being flamed that's not what this thread is about

This is my current fish list for my 93 gal:

Solar Fairy
Scott's Fairy
Potter's Angel
Yellow watchman
Sunrise Dottyback
Flame Hawkfish
True Percula
Filtration was my determining factor since I only have about 80 lbs. of LR.

i have

1 desjardin sailfin tang
2 f. percula clowns
1 sixline wrasse
1 cherub angel
1 horseface blenny

my filtration is a good bit overkill for my 90 so the determining factors in choosing my fish were

1 personality
2 disposition of the fish
3 usefullness in the tank
and beauty

i have 200+ - Lbs of lr and a precision marine bullet 1 protein skimmer

Wow! That's alot of fish. On the other end of the spectrum, I have 0 fish. I've been fishless for a little over a year now. Nothing against fish, I'm just really into invertebrates.

My present tank is at a 210 gallon, the dimensions are 72-24-29

my present list of fish are
2 clown fish
1 clown tang
1 achilles tang
1 powder blue tang
1 mandarin
1 strawberry pseudochromis
live rock 265.lb
filter system is lifereef lf1-300 berlin/skimmer is a vs3-36
the reasoning behind getting most of those fish were those were the ones I really liked the most. so I planned the tank size around the fish I wanted.

Great thread, Cheeks!

In a 120gallon with 170 pounds of live rock, UV Filtration, and a Euro-Reef CS8-3.....I currently have

1 med-large Magnificant Rabbitfish
2 Black Onyx True Perculas (juveniles)
1 large Kole Tang
1 Six Line Wrasse

I have intentions of adding a Purple Tang later on, but so far that's all that's planned. I have a couple of friends trying to talk me into more fish.....always spend someone elses money. LOLOL

I don't want too many fish, as I don't want there to be territorial pressures. My aquascaping is such that it provides plenty of swim-throughs and swimming space both in front and in back of the rock work, so the fish are more comfortable.

Thanx Nikki
Does the fact that it's going to be mainly an SPS tank affect you list at all or are you just concerned with territory issues and space ?

Wow George that's quite an impressive fish list !!!

I have to admit that fish is what attracted me to SW and I wish I could add possibly one more fish like a Tang to my system but to keep them healthy you have to feed them well and it would be too much bio-load for my system.
