Talking New fish addition, Scopas tang.

A few days a go I got one of this tangs, I like their shape and the fact that they eat algie. It went to my QT in which I have some LR with some LS and there are some of those little feather dusters on the LR, then 2 days a go I saw the tang rubbing agains the rocks, I was afraid it had ich so I watched him for a while, it appears there is no ich but he was trying to slash the feather dusters from the rock with that "blade on the tail"?!?!
There was a lot of particles floting around everytime he did that. Anyone seen this before?
As long as it is not ich I am happy, he can eat all of the FD

My Regal Tang that we have had for 3 weeks now rubs on the live rock. No signs of ich and he is eating like a little pig. I think he is just picking and algea on the rocks.

I loved my scopas. He was my first fish, lived for over 2 years before I tore the tank down for a move. Make sure you provide plenty of Nori everyday. I had some occasional ich problems at first, but once I started feeding Nori everyday I never had another ich problem.

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~
