Welcome to RS Marley

I really like lionfish! I had an antenatta that had a great personality and was almost 'dog-like'. He would greet me at the glass

Normal reef-temps will be fine.

Just be sure to feed it marine foods. Fresh water foods are high in fat and do not offer the proper nutrition for marine fish. A variety of thawed marine mysis, krill and silversides with an occasional fw live ghost shrimp will be fine.

Re: looking for lion fish info

Lionfish can be very interesting, but some caution is advised.

Your 55 gal tank is only 13 inches wide. Some species of lionfish get big, and would need a much larger tank. Stick to a dwarf lionfish.

Lionfish are venomous. Their sting is extremely painful. Do not keep this fish if you have children around the place. Always use extreme caution when working around the tank.
