Question Definately the Wrong Colour

So about a month ago I got a midas blenny for my 30 gallon. When I bought him, he was new to the LFS, but eating well and disease free so I bought him. He was also black when I bought him, something I knew was typical of midas blennies who were still a little stressed. Well its been a month now, and the only yellow he has is a tiny bit near the tail. I'm sure this is a midas blenny, has all the same markings on the face, but I really don't see him being stressed out. He eats well and has full control of the tank. He is in there right now with a coral beauty, a purple fire goby, a jawfish and 2 ocellaris. Parameters are good, Nitrates:1-2, Nitrites:0 Ammonia:0 Calcium 400 Alkalinity 3.4 Phosphates:0. Anything you guys could tell me would be helpful.

Re: Definately the Wrong Colour

Could be a color morph or it could be something that will change with time. 30 days in your tank is still new, so don't worry too much at this point. As long as the fish is eating and swimming normally, I would not be concerned.

Re: Definately the Wrong Colour

Six fish is alot for a 30 gallon tank, IMHO. Perhaps he is stressed from over-crowding, and it's showing in his coloring.
