Ouch grammer. Is the tang being cleaned by the shrimp? IME tang will nibble if there is something to nibble on.

I've had a Foxface in a reef with no ill effects

yea should be no concern on the tang for the shrimp maybe he needs a little more food
but a tang and a fox face in a 55G? i do not recomend that idea
unless you have a bigger tank and i am mistaken

Foxfaces have varacious appectites and might be a bit cramped in a 55G. JMO

The tang may have just started to get annoyed with the shrimp for some reason. It's up to you whether you want to seperate them or not, but it is entirely possible for the tang to kill the shrimp, where this wouldn't normally be a problem.

As for the foxface, I would pass. Cool fish, but it'll end up being cramped in your tank, I think.

Thanks Tarasco, I was thinking it would be a little crowded in there with the foxface, if the tang keeps it up, he'll prob have to go
