| Reef Nerd :) ![]() | Re: I Need Help Finding A Dead Fish Don't sweat the lost fish. It's part of the food chain. How old is your tank? Normally we "Test our tanks" with "Test Kits" and not live fish. That's a ploy by your LFS to make it to where you keep buying fish and they keep making money. Actually the DEAD fish will be good for kicking off your "Cycle" as it's decaying body will "Feed" the cycle and help get your tank up to speed. Go to "another" LFS and get test kits for:
then while you're waiting and watching the tank head on over to LOOK! Frequently Asked Questions~ and learn all you can about this "Cycle" we're talking about. It's going to be with you every part of the way with a SW tank. Either you know it and how to work WITH it or you fight it every step of the way and it WILL win ![]() Good luck and Happy Reefing ![]()

| Reef Nerd :) ![]() | Re: I Need Help Finding A Dead Fish Sorry about that. I wasn't really being funny (maybe a little bit) but really.... You need to get the clams OUT of there and either back to your LFS or into someone's tank that is stable and mature. You don't want them expiring and adding to your frustrations. Something is wrong and we need to figure it out ASAP. Damsels shouldn't be mysteriously dieing for no reason. I suspect that the Auto-Feeder and batteries leached something into your tank that is still in there. Save the clams and let's see what we can work out. Good luck ![]()
