| Fire Coral | Re: Is he okay? [color="Navy"][/COLOR Well this is just an update on my clown. I guess he's just weird. He's eating great and even beat out the goby and the 2 shrimp getting to the food. He's back on his side of the tank, up and down, butt is still up, which appears to be his resting posture? Hope your's is doing better. It's great reading everyone's posts. It really helps. Best Fishes ![]() |

| Fire Coral | Re: Is he okay? Just checking back and glad to see that your clown is doing much better. Mine is too. She is the queen and owns the tank now, I have a neighbor who has a 125g tank who came over to help and found that the clown, like many suggested, may have had bladder problems. So, Happy Clowns and Best Fishes to you, I'm sure we'll catch up again! AND THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO TAKES A MINUTE OR TWO TO REPLY, It does help when you're frightened that you may lose your pet to ignorance. Robin |

| Elegance coral | Re: Is he okay? I have had my share of clown troubles as well. I recently purchased a pair of perculas. I already have one ocellaris and one smaller percula. The larger of the new pair won't eat either, however he doesn't seem as stressed as yours. My guess is that your water is significantly different in some respect then what he is used to, and he's not adjusting to it as well as the other one. I'd test your alk as well, and be very wary of adding buffer if your alk is already high. If you see any cloudiness or sloughing of the skin, I'd highly expect brooklynella, but so far I don't see any symptom of that besides the breathing and not eating. As for the dog in the background...I'm guessing Lhasa or shih-zu? |
